Over the last few weeks, we have finally begun taking our first tentative steps back to normality under the guidance of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown.

Here is a reminder of some of the latest and forthcoming steps that make up this plan …

  • Step two (which started on 12th April) – We saw the reopening of many business including shops, hairdressers, libraries, community centres, zoos, gyms and restaurants. Also up to six people (or two households) were able to meet together outside.
  • Step three (which will start on 17th May, if things go well) – We can meet up to six people (or two households) indoors.
  • Step four (due to start on 21st June if all goes well) – The government hopes to remove all the remaining rules that are stopping people from getting together.

While life under lockdown will have looked different for all of us, we will inevitably all have faced many challenges and hardships over the last year, with most of us being separated from the things and people we love for such a long time.

Now that the lockdown is starting to ease, we would love to share the joy and celebrate all the things we can’t wait to get back to with the launch of our social media campaign #ICantWaitTo.

To take part, simply share the thing or things you are most looking forward to (whether it’s hugging your mum, eating inside your favourite restaurant, returning to your dance class or whatever it is that makes you smile!) on social media with the hashtag #ICantWaitTo. We can’t wait to read about what you’ll all be getting up to!
