First Linking Lives Scottish Projects Launched!

04.02.2019

On 2nd February 2019, we launched our first projects in Scotland! These will be operating in Perth and Aberdeen. Following discussions with Perth Baptist Church and The Fountain of Love RCCG church in Aberdeen, we carried out initial training for both churches in November 2018. This was followed by the registration of each project, and volunteer training for a combined group of 30 volunteers on 2nd February 2019.
See a short interview from pastors from each church below.

‘This will be a really helpful way for us to meet practical needs in the community, and Linking Lives UK gives us the tools, training and to actually do that.’

(Gordy McKay, Community Pastor, Perth Baptist Church)

‘For four years, we have been considering ideas to reach out more and address loneliness, and it was wonderful to hear of the work of Linking Lives UK. We now aim to equip 100 volunteers to visit older people by 2021.’

(Olushola Ajide, Pastor, The Fountain of Love Church, Aberdeen)
