We currently have vacancies to work with Linking Lives UK and these are as follows:

Vacancy – Regional Development Officer – Norfolk

16 Hours per week
£15-19 p/h (according to experience)
Three-year contract (Review after 6 months)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a ground-breaking Christian charity working to combat loneliness and social isolation on a national level. We work with churches and Christian organisations across the country to support them in establishing befriending schemes and there are already 31 partner projects operating. In each area, volunteers regularly visit older people, and social events and activities are also organised.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and confident person to join our team as our Regional Development Officer for Norfolk. This role will involve building relationships with churches and Christian organisations across the region as well as with denominational bodies, statutory and voluntary agencies. The successful candidate will carry out research into existing activity which supports socially isolated older people across Norfolk, and identify areas of particular need where there is limited provision, suitable for establishing befriending projects.

A further element of the role will be to pilot inter-generational initiatives in partnership with churches in such a way that these can be replicated elsewhere. We also aim to trial new approaches to addressing loneliness and social isolation which require minimal resources, time and finance. We will also be looking to replicate this in other areas.
The role will be a self-employed position, and will involve working from home. We are specifically looking for someone with the relevant experience who shares our vision to reach and support isolated older people. All applicants must be sympathetic to Linking Lives’ Christian beliefs. (click image to download)
