OUR OPERATIONAL TEAM
Our core operational team oversees the day to day running of the charity including regular liaison with our partners and those working to set up a scheme; training; developing quality standards and resources; and raising the profile of our work. The team are:
Jeremy Sharpe

Jeremy is responsible for the strategic development of the charity which includes setting key objectives, measuring outcomes and supporting the staff team and local partner projects

Angela Caley
Operations Manager
Angela’s role is to oversee the replication of our befriending models and provide ongoing support for partner churches. This includes providing training for churches and local volunteers.

DAVID DE LA HAYE
Training & Resources Manager
David oversees training for new befriending schemes and existing partnerships. He also runs occasional webinars focusing on addressing social isolation, and produces written resources.

Chris is responsible for the day to day management our finances and invoicing. He also looks after our IT systems and the development and improvement of new IT projects.

Richard Taylor
Regional Development Officer

Richard’s role is to establish befriending projects across Devon in areas of greatest need. This is carried out in partnership with churches and other organisations in the county

Trusts and Foundations Manager
Tessa oversees relationships with Trusts & Foundations who provide crucial financial support for our work. This involves compiling funding applications and regular progress reports.

michelle Candlish
National Development Manager Scotland
Michelle is responsible for establishing befriending schemes across Scotland by enabling churches to receive training to operate in informal community-based settings and will enrol chaplains and volunteers to support people in their spiritual journeys. She is also developing partnerships with key organisations supporting people affected by loneliness and isolation.
