We currently have vacancies for three exciting key positions within Linking Lives. Two are self-employed roles and the third is a voluntary opportunity. Vacancy – Training & Quality Standards Officer
Initially 8 hours per week
£12 p/h

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as our Training and Quality Standards Officer. This role will involve coordinating and participating in the training of representatives from prospective partner projects so as to ensure that they are equipped to set up and run a befriending scheme through Linking Lives UK. You will also assist in the delivery of initial volunteer training in various locations. As part of our efforts to ensure good quality standards are maintained, you will also undertake annual reviews with partner projects.

The role also involves carrying out certain key aspects of the administrative systems of Linking Lives UK including maintaining financial records, invoicing and monitoring quarterly reports from partner projects.

The role will be a self-employed position, and will involve working from home or from a local office base (applicants for this role will need to be based in or around the Berkshire area). We are specifically looking for someone with the relevant experience who shares our vision to reach and support isolated older people. All applicants must be committed to Linking Lives’ Christian beliefs.

Vacancy – Regional Development Officer – Midlands & North
Initially 4 Hours per week *
£15 p/h

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and confident person to join our team as our Regional Development Officer for the Midlands and north of England. This role will involve building relationships with new churches and Christian organisations across the region as well as with denominational bodies, statutory and voluntary agencies. The primary focus will be on raising the profile of our work across the area so as to create opportunities for new projects and continue to support the work of existing projects.

The role will be a self-employed position, and will involve working from home. We are specifically looking for someone with the relevant experience who shares our vision to reach and support isolated older people. All applicants must be committed to Linking Lives’ Christian beliefs.

Voluntary Opportunity – Social Media Coordinator
Approx. 8 Hours per month

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a voluntary Social Media Coordinator. The main focus of this role will be to help raise the profile of Linking Lives UK and issues of loneliness and isolation through use of social media including Facebook and Twitter. This will be achieved by sharing regular online news updates of our activities, attracting new followers/ users and building a greater online presence.

This is a voluntary role, and will involve working from home. The successful applicant will also be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of Linking Lives UK.
